?Now, as someone who just lost the last election, I'm probably not in the best position to chart the course for the next one,? Mr. Romney said to laughter at the 40th annual Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC.

Then he made a well-received strong pitch to follow the lead of the Republican governors.

?Perhaps because I'm a former governor, I would urge us all to learn lessons that come from some of our greatest success stories,? Romney said. ?And that's 30 Republican governors across the country.?

He pointed in particular to Republican governors in Democratic-leaning and swing states, such as New Jersey, Virginia, Ohio, New Mexico, Wisconsin, and Nevada. Notably, two of those governors ? Chris Christie of New Jersey and Bob McDonnell of Virginia ? were not invited to speak at CPAC, presumably because of recent actions that broke with conservative orthodoxy.

Romney?s reception at CPAC was perhaps his warmest yet for a man who governed Massachusetts as a moderate and who has had a mixed relationship with conservatives over the years. The crowd cheered and stood when he took the stage, and stood again as he finished.

Overall, the CPAC crowd ? many of them college students ? was energetic and attentive, happy to be among like-minded people and receiving the attentions of leading conservative political figures.

Last year, Romney raised eyebrows when he told CPAC he had been a ?severely conservative governor.? But he went on to win the group?s annual presidential straw poll anyway, though just barely, beating former Sen. Rick Santorum, 38 percent to 31 percent. Romney had also won the CPAC straw poll from 2007 to 2009. In 2008, when he lost the Republican nomination to Sen. John McCain of Arizona, he was seen as the conservative alternative.

In 2013, it was a different Romney who took the CPAC stage, held this year at a big convention center in suburban Maryland. He looked tanned and rested, not so much eager to please as eager to stay involved as the Republicans seek to recover from last November?s failures.

Romney acknowledged mistakes, but did not go into specifics.

"Of course, I left the race disappointed that I didn't win,? he said, adding that he was ?honored and humbled to have represented the values we believe in.?

?You are a winner!? an audience member shouted.

?It's up to us to make sure that we learn from our mistakes and my mistakes and that we take advantage of that learning to make sure that we take back the nation, take back the White House, get the Senate, and put in place conservative principles,? Romney said.

Mitt Romney tells conservatives he's sorry he's not president

By Samuel P. Jacobs

OXON HILL, Maryland (Reuters) - At a gathering for conservatives to plot their future, there was a stark reminder of the past on Friday as failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney made his first public speech since election night.

"I am sorry that I won't be your president," Romney told the audience of the Conservative Political Action Conference, "but I will be your co-worker and I will stand shoulder to shoulder beside you."

Since he accepted defeat to President Barack Obama in the early hours of the morning on November 7 in Boston, Romney has largely vanished from view. He is occasionally spotted on the ski slopes with his family, pumping gas, or shopping at Costco.

He and his wife Ann have retired to La Jolla, California, where the Romney family keeps a home, although they did give an interview to Fox News last month.

The former Massachusetts governor was the first losing presidential candidate in nearly 25 years not to be in Washington on Inauguration Day.

Looking tanned since his time off the campaign trail, Romney delivered what sounded very like his campaign speech. He told vignettes about the Americans he met as he traveled across the country on the way to his eventual defeat.

Romney said he realized the awkwardness of his position.

"As someone who just lost the last election, I'm probably not the best person to chart the course for the next election," he said.

ROCKY RELATIONSHIP

Romney has never had a simple relationship with the conservative base, which always suspected he was too moderate on healthcare, abortion and other issues.

In past years, Romney won the conference's straw poll for preferred presidential candidate, but audiences like CPAC are often filled with the sort of Republicans who were most suspicious of his conservative credentials.

Appearing at the same event last year, Romney declared himself to be "severely conservative." That strained formulation did not warm conservatives' hearts and led to ridicule from some in the media.

For many gathered at a hotel here south of Washington, the lesson from Romney's loss is a simple one: Republicans nominated a candidate who wasn't conservative enough.

On Thursday, Texas Governor Rick Perry, once Romney's rival in the presidential primary, told the crowd: "The popular media narrative is that this country has shifted away from conservative ideas, as evidence by the last two presidential elections. That's what they think, that's what they say. That might be true if Republicans had actually nominated conservative candidates in 2008 and 2012."

"The fact is the base didn't come out for him," said Bob Vander Plaats, the president of the Family Leader and a prominent social conservative in the early-voting state of Iowa. "No matter how much we did to push our base towards him that was a hard rope to push."

Romney was received warmly by the audience and the former candidate thanked them for their "earnest support."

He did have one warning for conservatives.

"We particularly need to hear from the governors of the blue and purple states," he said, advising conservatives not to give up on the states where he lost to Obama.

Romney mentioned two governors ? New Jersey's Chris Christie and Virginia's Bob McDonnell ? who were not invited to participate in the influential conference.

Both governors have been criticized for taking positions that part with Republican orthodoxy. But a Reuters/Ipsos online poll on Friday showed Christie as the Republican with the best rating against possible 2016 Democratic opponents Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden. [ID:nL1N0C76P2]

LARGELY IGNORED

Since his defeat, Romney has rarely been mentioned by conservatives.

Speaking a few hours before Romney, Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan, the Republican vice presidential nominee, centered his remarks on the federal budget and made no mention of his former running mate.

In the aftermath of the last campaign, Republicans have set about refashioning their image, moving away from Romney's campaign positions.

Romney's campaign was marked by a hawkish view on immigration and was hindered by his remarks in secretly recorded video deploring nearly half of all Americans as "victims."

Now, Republican congressmen are playing leading roles in trying to reform immigration laws and leaders are encouraging reaching out to African-American and Hispanic voters, two groups that backed Obama by wide margins.

Influential Republicans like Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal have called on their party to embrace the people Romney appeared to reject in his infamous "47 percent" remarks about voters who receive government aid.

Despite his downfall, Romney was undeterred.

"It's fashionable in some circles to be pessimistic about America, about conservative solutions, about the Republican Party," Romney said. "I utterly reject that pessimism."

Obama wants research to wean vehicles off oil

(AP) ? President Barack Obama is pushing Congress to authorize more federally funded research into clean energy technologies that can wean automobiles off oil.

Obama proposed the idea of an energy security trust last month in his State of the Union address, but he was putting a price tag on the idea during a trip Friday to the Argonne National Laboratory outside Chicago ? $2 billion over 10 years. The White House says the research would be paid for with revenue from federal oil and gas leases on offshore drilling and would not add to the deficit.

The money would fund research on "breakthrough" technologies such as batteries for electric cars and biofuels made from switch grass or other materials. Researchers also would look to improve use of natural gas as a fuel for cars and trucks.

The proposal is modeled after a plan submitted by a group of business executives and former military leaders who are committed to reducing U.S. oil dependence. The group, called Securing America's Future Energy, is headed by FedEx Corp. Chairman and CEO Frederick W. Smith and retired Marine Corps Gen. P.X. Kelley. The nonpartisan group says its goal is to "break oil's stranglehold on the transportation sector" through alternatives such as electric cars and heavy-duty trucks fueled by natural gas, but it had proposed a much larger $3 billion annual investment.

Creation of the trust would require congressional approval at a time of partisan divide over energy issues. Obama tried to appeal to both parties by pitching the policy not just as an environmental issue, but a job-creation plan that would keep the United States as a technology leader.

"If a nonpartisan coalition of CEOs and retired generals and admirals can get behind this idea, then so can we," Obama said in his State of the Union address. "Let's take their advice and free our families and businesses from the painful spikes in gas prices we've put up with for far too long."

There were signs agreement may be possible. Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski has called it "an idea I may agree with."

Murkowski, senior Republican on the Senate Energy Committee, did not fully endorse the plan, which is similar to one she has proposed to use revenue from drilling for oil and natural gas on public lands that previously were off-limits to energy production to pay for research on new energy technologies.

White House officials said the president's proposal would not require drilling on federal lands or water where it is now prohibited. Instead they are counting on increased production from existing sites, along with efficiencies from an administration plan to streamline drilling permits. The government collects more than $6 billion a year in royalties from production on federal lands and waters.

Argonne is one of the Energy Department's largest national laboratories for scientific and engineering research, staffed by more than 1,250 scientists and engineers. White House officials said it was chosen as the site of the president's speech because of its tradition of research into vehicle technologies.

Journalist charged in LA Times hacking conspiracy suspended

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ? News agency Reuters has suspended with pay a deputy social media editor after he was indicted on federal charges of conspiring with the hacking group Anonymous to deface an online story of the Los Angeles Times.

Reuters spokesman David Girardin told The Associated Press Friday in an email that Matthew Keys was suspended on Thursday with pay. He did not elaborate.

Federal authorities allege that in December 2010, Keys, 26, provided hackers with login information to access the computer system of the Tribune Co., the parent company of the Times that also owns a Sacramento television station Keys was fired from months before.

Investigators allege that he gave a hacker named "Sharpie" the information in an Internet chat room frequented by hackers and urged the hacker to do some damage to the Tribune Co.

According to the indictment, Sharpie altered a Times news story posted Dec. 14 and 15, 2010, to read "Pressure builds in House to elect CHIPPY 1337," a reference to another hacking group. "Chippy 1337" claimed responsibility for defacing the website of video game publisher Eidos in 2011.

Keys' Facebook page says he worked as an online news producer for the Sacramento FOX affiliate KTXL from June 2008 to April 2010.

Reuters hired Keys in 2012 as a deputy editor for social media and he was at work Thursday. He didn't return a phone call or respond to email messages seeking comment.

"I am fine," Keys tweeted Thursday, hours after his federal indictment was announced. "I found out the same way most of you did: From Twitter. Tonight I'm going to take a break. Tomorrow, business as usual."

The indictment alleges that a second attempt to hack the Times was unsuccessful.

Federal prosecutors allege in court papers that a legendary hacker and Anonymous leader named "Sabu" offered advice on how to infiltrate Tribune's systems. The FBI unmasked Sabu when it arrested Hector Xavier Monsegur on June 7, 2011. Monsegur secretly worked as an FBI informant until federal officials announced that he helped them arrest five other alleged hackers on March 6, 2012.

Federal officials declined to comment on whether Sabu assisted in the investigation of Keys.

The day after it was announced that Sabu was an FBI informant, Keys wrote a story for Reuters about "infiltrating" the hackers' chat room.

Keys is charged with one count each of conspiracy to transmit information to damage a protected computer, as well as transmitting and attempting to transmit that information. If convicted, the New Jersey native faces a combined 25 years prison and a $500,000 fine if sentenced to the maximum for each count.

He is scheduled for arraignment April 12 in Sacramento.

The indictment comes after recent hacks into the computer systems of two other U.S. media companies that own The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. Both newspapers reported in February that their computer systems had been infiltrated by China-based hackers, likely to monitor media coverage the Chinese government deems important.

Anonymous and its offshoot, Lulz Security, have been linked to a number of high-profile computer attacks and crimes, including many that were meant to embarrass governments, federal agencies and corporate giants. They have been connected to attacks that took data from FBI partner organization InfraGard, and they've jammed websites of the CIA and the Public Broadcasting Service.

A computer security specialist said the LA Times attack would be an unusual hack if the government's charges are accurate.

"This is first case where I've heard of someone leaking stuff to Anonymous to have a site defaced, instead of defacing it himself," said Clifford Neuman, director of University of Southern California Center for Computer Systems Security. "He found some way to achieve his ends of defacing the website without having to do it himself."

A spokesman for the Chicago-based Tribune Co. declined to comment.

While Keys did not directly address the federal charges Thursday through his voluminous Twitter feed, commentary from his more than 23,500 followers and even a story about the news indictment were retweeted from his account.

Keys did obliquely address the issue in a status update on his Facebook page he posted late Thursday.

"I'm fine, and everything will be okay," he posted.

According to Keys' Facebook profile, he is single, lives in New York City and works at Thomson Reuters Corp.'s New York office, where "I get paid to use Twitter and Facebook at work."

London-based Reuters has been expanding its business in the United States. This year, six of the Tribune's seven newspapers dropped The Associated Press for Reuters, citing cost savings. The Los Angeles Times stayed with AP.

(AP) ? Republican Mitt Romney apologized for losing the presidential election as he returned to the national stage on Friday, promising to work in a diminished role alongside conservative activists to help strengthen the GOP.

"Each of us in our own way will have to step up and meet our responsibility," Romney told a crowded ballroom at the Conservative Political Action Conference, a three-day summit for activists in suburban Washington.

"I am sorry that I will not be your president," Romney said, taking the stage for the first time since last fall's election loss. "But I will be your co-worker, and I will work shoulder-to-shoulder alongside you."

Romney's conservative credentials were sometimes questioned during his presidential campaign, but he was greeted with a roaring ovation and interrupted by applause several times during his brief remarks. Advisers said his appearance was designed to thank conservatives for backing his candidacy.

Romney won the conference's straw poll one year ago, when he described himself as "severely conservative."

He did not repeat that phrase on Friday, but he did borrow heavily from his campaign trail speech. Romney referred to the same furniture upholsterer and truck driver he cited almost daily as he crisscrossed the country last year.

Romney is not expected to play a leading role in the future of the Republican Party, but he said, "It's up to us to make sure that we learn from our mistakes, and my mistakes."

He encouraged conservatives to study the successes of the nation's 30 Republican governors and praised the "clear and convincing voice" of his former running mate, Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan, who spoke in the same ballroom earlier in the day.

"Of course, I left the race disappointed that I didn't win," Romney said. "But I also left honored and humbled to have represented the values we believe in and to speak for so many good and decent people."

He also struck the same optimistic tone of his campaign's final weeks.

"I utterly reject pessimism," Romney said. "We may not have carried on Nov. 7, but we have not lost the country we love, and we have not lost our way."

Facts About Colorectal Cancer - Health - Nairaland

Facts About Colorectal Cancer by Jarus(m): 1:17pm On Mar 13Death by cancer is now very common today. I think it is high time we all made a habit reading and knowing about various health issues - who knows, you may be the one that will identify a symptom and ask a known person to visit his doctor.

Of course, not being doctors or health practitioners, we are not licensed to and must never claim diagnosis of any health challenge, but I think it is high time everyone knew something about health. Subscribing to reliable health journals or sites may be of help.

2 years ago, I overheard a friend talk to his brother on phone, that their sick mum had blood in her stool. From my basic health knowledge, I almost asked them to go see a gastroeneterolgist for colon cancer screening for the sick mum. I didn't do, because I didn't want to interfere in their family affairs. The mum died few months later, most likely from colorectal cancer (but pls, not all cases are blood-in-stool are colorectal cancers o. It can be less severe cases like pile/heamorrage but in any case, see your doctor asap whe you notice one. Colonoscopy may be required to ascertain, esp when it is persistent)

This article, which I sourced from medhelp.org, one of the health sites I subscriibed to, takes us through colorectal cancer - causes, symptoms, treatment options etc.

Re: Facts About Colorectal Cancer by Jarus(m): 1:19pm On Mar 131, Why Awareness is the Key

Cancer never sounds good. Pair the word "cancer" with it, and any body part seems tainted and taboo. So it's no surprise that people don't like talking about colorectal cancer, even if it is the third most common cancer and the third leading cause of cancer deaths in both men and women in the U.S. It's not pleasant or pretty, but a little extra awareness might make colorectal cancer a lot less dangerous. Read on to know the signs, symptoms, and how to reduce your risk

2, Basic Terminology

First, a quick definition to clear up confusion: Colon cancer and colorectal cancer aren't quite synonymous, though people often use the terms interchangeably. Your colon is the biggest part of your large intestine, making up the first four to five feet, and the rectum is the last several inches. Colon cancer and rectal cancer behave very similarly, though colon cancer is diagnosed more than twice as often as rectal cancer; the term colorectal cancer effectively combines the two. Treatment varies based on the location of the initial (called primary) tumor, so it's important to know the difference.

3, The Root of the Problem

About 95 percent of colorectal cancers start with a polyp, which are benign, slow-growing clusters of cells that grow on the intestinal wall and usually have a mushroom-like appearance. Polyps are common - about 30 to 40 percent of adults 50 and older develop them - and usually harmless - most polyps won't ever turn into cancer. However, because polyps often develop without causing any symptoms, colorectal cancer screening is a crucial part of your regular medical exam if you're age 50 or older.

4, When a Polyp Goes Rogue

Of the three types of colon polyps, only one, called adenomatous polyps, or adenomas, can turn into cancer. However, adenomas are the most common type, comprising about two-thirds of colon polyps. Fortunately, adenomas grow very slowly, and not all adenomas turn cancerous. If they do, they usually take more than 10 years to become malignant, giving you ample time to catch and remove them, which makes colorectal cancer highly preventable with routine colorectal cancer screening.

5, Other Causes

Polyps are the most common precursor to colon cancer, but they're not the only ones. Nonpolypous lesions, which are harder to detect than polyps, can also grow into cancer cells. At least in the case of colon cancer, these inconspicuous cells are far more rare than polyps.

Re: Facts About Colorectal Cancer by Jarus(m): 1:19pm On Mar 136, Problems from Polyps

If polyps do evolve into cancer cells, you may start to notice some symptoms. While stomach cramps, persistent gas, fatigue or noticeable changes in your bowel movements and blood in your stool don't sound like "good news" you should consider yourself fortunate to catch symptoms early. Symptoms can be rare, and they're your doctor's best chance to diagnose you early and start a simpler course of treatment.

7, When to Watch Your Risk

After your 50th birthday, it's time to be on the lookout. About 90 percent of all people with colorectal cancer are over 50. While African-Americans are at a higher risk, this cancer doesn't discriminate; everyone ages 50 and up needs regular colorectal cancer screening tests.

8, Know Your History

If your family has a history of polyps, then you're more likely to develop them, but no one's sure why. And if you've already had polyps or colon cancer yourself, you're always at risk of them returning. Additionally, if you've had intestinal trouble in the past, like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, be on high alert for colorectal cancer

9, Is It in the Genes

Colorectal cancer isn't necessarily passed down from parents to children, but some genetic markers can indicate risk and let you know that you need to be more vigilant. Genetic predisposition only shows up in a small percentage of colorectal cancer cases and does not guarantee that you'll develop the disease. If risk runs in your family, you'll need earlier and more frequent screenings; talk to your doctor about when to start.

10, Polyp Probability

Gardner's Syndrome or familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP), is a rare diagnosis that means you're genetically inclined to develop polyps. FAP boosts your risk of developing colon cancer before you're 40 years old, so your doctor will start examining for polyps early - and regularly.

Re: Facts About Colorectal Cancer by Jarus(m): 1:20pm On Mar 1311, Rare, But Challenging

Lynch Syndrome, or hereditary nonpolypous colorectal cancer (HNPCC), another rare genetic disorder, causes potentially malignant lesions that are hard to find, putting you at risk of colon cancer before age 50. A genetic test can alert you and your doctor so you can start testing early.

12, Does Diet Make a Difference?

The final verdict isn't in yet, but studies indicate that diet and exercise can influence colorectal cancer risk. If you maintain a high-fat, low-fiber diet, your digestive system has to deal with carcinogens and other potential poisons. If you're smoking and abusing alcohol, all while avoiding exercise, then your weakened body makes a better host for cancer cells. A lifetime of burgers and beers may not cause colorectal cancer, but bad habits will exploit your other risk factors.

13, Deal with the Tests

Don't ignore the public service announcements and celebrity awareness campaigns: You need regular screening starting at age 50 (earlier with a family history and other risk factors). Testing isn't a pretty topic, but the technology is improving, and getting past the queasiness can, quite simply, save your life.

14, Simplest Surgeries

Surgery is usually the safest and most effective way to treat colon cancer. That's why early detection is so important - surgery is far safer and more effective in the early stages of cancer. If the polyps are small and haven't spread or embedded themselves in the wall of the colon, then a surgeon can usually remove them completely. You'll have to keep a more watchful eye for the rest of your life, but your immediate treatment can be that simple. Surgeons can even remove larger polyps - caught early - through less

15, Tougher Treatments

If malignant cells have grown into the colon wall, then you may need a partial colectomy, in which a surgeon will remove the cancerous portion and reconnect the healthy colon. But this is also where rectal cancer becomes a different problem. If the cancerous cells are too close to the rectum or end of your colon, you may need a colostomy. Often, surgeons can perform a temporary colostomy, but in some advanced cases, you'll need an external colostomy bag for collecting body waste outside the

Re: Facts About Colorectal Cancer by Jarus(m): 1:22pm On Mar 1316, When It's Incurable

Since many people with colorectal cancer are also in bad physical health, sometimes surgeons aren't able to remove enough of the colon to get rid of all of the cancer cells. In these cases, they'll operate to remove any blockages in the intestines, which will relieve symptoms like bleeding and pain. But this palliative surgery won't cure the cancer.

17, Chemotherapy and Radiation

If, after surgery, some cancer cells remain, you may need chemotherapy to destroy these cells. And if the cancer has spread from your colon to nearby organs like the liver, chemotherapy may be able to kill these cells before they cause complications. With rectal cancer, you'll likely need radiation therapy to eliminate any remaining cells and shrink any tumors.

Recent studies have shown that radiation prior to surgery helps shrink the tumor and

18, Do Drugs Help?

Targeted drug therapy, including chemotherapy drugs like bevacizumab (Avastin), cetuximab (Erbitux) and panitumumab (Vectibix) can help if surgery isn't an option. These drugs have varied success, and come with the typical side effects of cancer drugs, from nausea, diarrhea and abdominal pain to stroke or heart attack symptoms. You and your doctor will carefully weigh the risks and potential benefits before starting a drug regimen

19, Help from Healthy Habits

You can prevent colon cancer by catching polyps early, but can you prevent polyps? It might be impossible, but some healthy habits can help:
?Diet: A colorectal cancer-fighting diet of fruits, vegetables and whole grains will supply your body with the fiber and antioxidants you need to keep your digestive system clean.
?Exercise: Exercising and maintaining a healthy BMI not only keep your system

Thanks for the Enlightenment.

This post has been hiddenRe: Facts About Colorectal Cancer by pappilo(m): 5:49pm On Mar 13Thanks for this but unfortunately many wont read it and those who do will just glance through. A year ago I would have just glanced at this article and moved on but when these things hit close to home there is the natural tendency to develop an interest but unfortunately the knowledge gained from that interest is usually of no important use as the close relative or yourself is past the curative stage.

The ultimate killer in Colorectal cancer is Liver Metastasis i.e when the cancer cells have travelled from the colon to the liver. At this stage, there is no chance of a cure and only palliative treatment can be given to help prolong life often with a deteriorating quality of life.

Like the article you posted above alludes to, colorectal cancer presents no obvious symptoms and by the time it does e.g rapid unexplained weight loss, the cancer has advanced to stage IV which is incurable.

If I knew what I know now 10 years ago, I would have done things differently.

I love you dad.

Great post really..I only wanna reiterate on d most important words,'Early detection'.Sincerely, early detection is what differentiates Western approach 2 cancer frm dt f Africa cos most Africans won't show up in d hospitals till d disease has eaten really deep.Pitifully, this is largely as a result of lack of routine check-ups in Africa However, those who do show up early, mostly do so either in herbal homes or in not-well-exposed hospitals, where they r only given antibiotics 4 trx.There4,1 can't seperate cancer prevailence from ignorance. What a pity!
Pls,never take ur health issue lightly.Any misnormal in ur system shd be reported immediately.Remember,Early detection remains d best cure 2 cancer.God help us all..Amen

Colo Rectal CA is being seen more n more these days than before, probably cos of improved diagnosis etc.
management protocol are improving in tackling it but early detection still remains d key.
Once a year check up wit Scans, Barium enemas n colonoscopy (if available ) is recommended after the age of 50.
A healthy lifestyle is very important, with Gods Grace..

Hmmm, during my elective posting in USA, most of my adult patients had colorectal cancer. As a newbie, my job was to perform a guaiac test on their stools which essentially means checking for blood in stool as one of the diagnostic tools. It was rather fun. Again, one of the lines of management was that these patients were adviced to maintain a diet high in fiber. The consultant had gone on to explain that why the disease is rare in Africans is because of the high fiber content in our foods eg garri etc as compared to their diet that is largely made up of refined food products low in fiber aka junk food etc. The food companies in response are now increasing as well as adding fiber content in their biscuits, and other food products to keep up d health trend . Can it be d same as our natural food? I really doubt it.
Needless to say, I took home something that day which is to eat as much garri as I can even though I can barely stand the meal, since after all it's my prophylaxis against this dreadful disease.

Pikachu Yellow 3DS XL coming to the US on March 24th, is super-effective against your eyes

Poor American Pokémon trainers that have been eying up eBay listings and import sites can breathe a sigh of relief. Nintendo has announced that the special edition yellow 3DS XL -- emblazoned with Pikachu, no less -- will arrive in the States before the end of the month. Priced at $200 and packaged with a 4GB SD memory card, it'll arrive the same day as the latest Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game -- that's March 24th if you've got your pokédiary out. Walmart, Target, GameStop and Toys R S will all be stocking the handheld, although quantities are limited, so get your trucker cap, pokéballs and unerringly small backpack ready to brave those chains in a few weeks.

Question of the day: Big portions, or more reasonable? - Table ...

by:

How do you feel about restaurant portion sizes? In general, do you find them to be too big, too small or about right? This will of course depend on the restaurant and its clientele ? a fine-dining spot won?t serve anything like Buca di Beppo?s monstrosities ? but what?s your overall expectation of an entr?e portion? Do you feel you didn?t get good value if you don?t leave with a doggy bag containing at least the next day?s lunch, if not lunch and dinner?
