Selena Gomez sparked rumors that she and Justin Bieber are either planning on getting married or experiencing relationship trouble when she was spotted with the book The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts. It's definitely an odd book for a girl of her age to be reading when most of them are looking for love advice in the pages of 50 Shades of Grey.
The 5 Love Languages is a relationship guide aimed at married couples, so seeing Selena carrying it probably made her fans wonder if she is following in the footsteps of fellow teen Miley Cyrus by getting engaged at a very young age. Hearing the news of Miley's engagement probably did make Selena start thinking about her own future with Justin, and if Selena is the type of girl that has always dreamed of having a fairytale wedding, then she should be in a rush to walk down the aisle - just imagine the type of ceremony that she and Justin could afford.
But since The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts is about improving relationships, some of Selena Gomez's fans could also be thinking that her mind is in a completely different place - instead of planning her dream wedding, is Selena trying to find a way to save her relationship with Justin Bieber?
According to Contact Music, this is what the starlet said about the book:
''Actually my preacher suggested it to me just for fun so I'm reading it just for fun.''
A marriage advice guide is definitely an odd thing for a preacher to suggest to a teen girl just "for fun."
Perhaps Selena's preacher worries that the singer is already thinking about marriage and suggested the book because he/she wants to make sure that Selena realizes just how hard marriage can be before deciding to get hitched - after all, if Selena makes a rash decision, she could end up getting divorced later on (and most preaches don't like the d-word). Or perhaps the preacher was appalled to learn that Selena has been reading the racy erotic novel 50 Shades of Grey and decided to suggest a less-raunchy book about love for the pop star to read.
So do you think that Selena is really reading the book just "for fun," or is something else going on?
